About us

Ren Health Collective provides low-cost, multidisciplinary health services & education focused on inclusive, preventative, and holistic community care.

We operate a clinic, education, and multipurpose space in downtown Calgary. Our clinic services include massage, community acupuncture, and yoga and stretching classes.

Ren is the sound of the Chinese word meaning human and also benevolence. In acupuncture, the Ren meridian runs down the midline of the body and is the gathering place of deep nourishment. We were inspired by this word to ensure we are always providing empathetic, nurturing, people-centred care.

Our clinic is a part of Skipping Stone’s Trans Affirming Network.

Cecilia (she/her) is a final year neuroscience student at the University of Calgary. Her family immigrated from China a decade ago, and they’ve always stayed close to their heritage. She is a huge advocate for traditional Chinese medicine, and is grateful for the opportunity to promote TCM and assist with increasing access to health services via community acupuncture!

  • Reception

Betty (she/her) graduated from Mount Royal University as a Massage Therapist. She is currently working part time at her family's business, HaiXiang Chinese Herbal Medicine. She has recently been exploring other career options outside of massage therapy, so she is extremely grateful to have been given the opportunity to join the team and work in another aspect of health services.
